July has been busy! The easing of Lockdown restrictions in Scotland has meant I was able to meet up with friends, including the lovely illustrators Louise & Sarah with whom I was working on a series of Artist Books. Sarah asked me if I could takeover making the cover for this one, so I did.
If you follow me on Twitter or Instagram, you'll have noticed my daily project for the month was to make a Colouring Book, a series illustrating various words in sequence matching with the alphabet letter for the day. I should have printed copies of this available from my Etsy Shop within the week, and already have a selection of designs available on various products on Redbubble.
Speaking of Redbubble, I've been enjoying using this mask from one of the designs I uploaded a few years back. I think it looks swish.
Sad news of the month was finding out that the Day Job I'd been on furlough from for the duration of the Lockdown so far is sadly deciding to make my role there redundant. I'm joining the throng of many in seeking a reliable source of income or work now. It's definitely a strange time to be job-hunting in. But I've been keeping myself busy and motivated, with projects including the Picture Hooks From Seed to Table Competitions. I've chosen to focus on Strawberries, and its a very hard fruit to resist, ha ha, but definitely a mood lifter. Hope you are all well. Take care, and be safe!
