2018 in Review

Updated: Jan 19, 2020

Mountains in January, Audrey in February, Art Deco Couple in March...
A selection of the works made in 2018

2018 has been a busy and fruitful year for me. Much learning was done, confidence grown and skill. I got to enjoy a trip to Berlin, make and print a booklet, try my hand at pyrography again after many years, and had a number of exciting opportunities: -My Cover for Soldier's Game was shortlisted in the Kelpies Illustration Prize. -I got to look at a brief from Whitelight Media. -I was commissioned by The Leith Agency for a ScottishPower campaign celebrating 20 million raised for Cancer Research UK. I've picked up a few things I'm definitely wanting to carry on into 2019. The drawing a day challenge is producing a monthly series of images that I am very much enjoying. I loved working with After Effects and would love to do more animation work. I'm sure the new year will bring its own set of new opportunities too. Here's to 2019! Happy new year! #yearinreview
